Meet Joey and Maggie two very proud new owners.
The smiles say it all guys.
they decided Jade [laid at Joey's feet] wanted a companion and play mate so they decided to adopt Simba [ seen here with Maggie] .Simba's story is so like many others ,his owners just couldn't cope with a large powerful dog and couldn't spend the time with him neccessary to train him , so he was put up for adoption and Joey and Maggie steped into the breach. All are one big happy family now, well done guys

Hi my names Barney, I am 4 yrs old.
Well it all started when I was just a puppy ,it was great at first everyone making a fuss of me then as time went on and I grew so it started, first it was no one wanted to know me, so I was left to do what I wanted, but my humans were allways shouting or smacking me, then a man turned up and said '' I know how to train him'' so he used to muzzle me and beat me, boy it hurt so bad, so I tried to defend  myself  the only way  I  knew how and the beatings got worse. So I made my mind up not to do anything he wanted me to do. So  I was dumped in kennels, for years they said ''I was a bad lad'' but all I ever wanted was someone to love , and someone to love me. Then one day they put me in a van, even they diddn't want me anymore, and took me to a new kennels. And thats where my life changed, after a few weeks they sent me to live at a foster home,  and thats where I met my mom and dad ,its all different now  I found those special people and Im in my forever home.

Please remember adoption should never be entered into lightly or on impulse think long and hard about your decision, MAKE SURE ITS THE RIGHT DECISION FOR THE DOG AND FOR YOU, if your expecting the perfect pooch to turn up then may be adoption is not for you

Meet Hannah,
Hannah was found wondering the streets ,no identification or microchip, at first it was thought she had been run over as she had broken ribs one side and cracked ribs the other side plus other injuries. But when a vet examined her it was discovered they had been inflicted on her by a human. She was nursed back to health and fostered,  from there she found a wonderfull new home in st Albans and now has the life she deserves and is flourishing
