Safe snow tyres

It seemed strange for most of her friends, but Mary was just like that. She was simply a very fearful person. She never got herself in dangerous situations of any sort. When she was invited for a party, she always asked who would be there and what sort of people the guests were. She made sure she would be able to get to the place and what"s even more important, to get back home early enough and safely. She always wore a scarf in autumn and never drank too much alcohol. She didn"t have a car herself (she preferred public means of transport much more, saying they"re more environmentally-friendly), and she never got into a car with a stranger. Although she lived in an area where snow tyres were not obligatory, she always asked if the person had them fitted into their car, even if it was just the beginning of December. So when we returned from the fitness club together (my wife and I from our karate training and Mary from her yoga class, which just happened to finish at the same time), we offered to pick her up home. She only asked us once if we had the seatbelts installed by every seat and of course, if our car was fitted with snow tyres. Then she didn"t ask us again. I guess she just trusted us, having seen how careful we were driving.
